MY MUSIC JOURNEY

I was born in Venezuela and have spent many years living and working in the UK, India, and across Europe. I am currently based in Costa Rica, where I run my bansuri-making workshop.

As a bansuri maker, I craft professional concert flutes suitable for both beginners and advanced performers. Each instrument is made with great care, precision, and deep respect for the tradition of Indian classical music.

I have studied Indian Classical Music on the bansuri for over 20 years with several highly respected teachers, including the world’s most renowned bansuri maestro, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. Alongside this, I am also a professional guitarist and music producer.

My musical journey spans South America, Europe, and Asia, giving me a broad and deep understanding of different musical cultures. This allows me to act as a bridge between world music traditions, blending technical mastery with cultural sensitivity and creative expression.

The name Tepui comes from the majestic tabletop mountains of Venezuela. In the local Indigenous Amazonian language, Tepui means “Temple of the Gods.” I chose this name to honor the profound healing, peace, and inspiration we find in both nature and music.
